Welcome to U.A.M.
Underground Artist Movement are a social enterprise based in Colwyn Bay, North Wales delivering creative engagements for young people in music production, lyricism, rap, creative writing and digital media.
Founded in 2024 by Spoken Word Artist/Producers Kene Clayton and Martin Daws alongside local Entrepreneur Andrio De Silva, U.A.M. are building a community access recording studio in Colwyn Bay and offering a wide range of creative programmes for young people across North Wales.
Our founder Kene Clayton sums up U.A.M.'s mission "We want to create the resources that weren't there for us when we were kids, so young people can grow their talent here without feeling they need to leave the area to develop."
Director of Training and Education Martin Daws draws on decades of experience as a freelance workshop facilitator to develop a world class training and mentoring programme for artists beginning their journey as Creative Professionals. Martin says "I'm passionate about sharing my skills and experience - I want to leave a legacy of younger artists who are skilled and confident to progress on their path as freelance creatives".
"At Underground Artist Movement, we believe in the power of music to build resilient individuals and communities. Our platform is built on the principles of inclusivity, creativity, and empowerment. We are dedicated to providing resources, opportunities, and support to artists and individuals passionate about making a positive impact through music."
